Use cases

What South African businesses do on WhatsApp

Sixteen everyday jobs we build, by industry. Each one links to how it works, the systems involved and what Meta charges for it.

These are common patterns in South African businesses, not Euphony clients.

What every build can include

AI support and handover

Routine questions answered, the rest to your team

Claude sorts each message, pulls out the details and drafts a reply from facts your systems supply. Anything else lands in a shared inbox with the whole conversation, and automation pauses while your team replies. Voice notes are transcribed.

Switching from Wati or Twilio

Keep your number. Bring it to us.

Since September 2026, Meta lets a business share its WhatsApp account with more than one provider. The number doesn't move, and your conversations carry on while we set up.

How switching works
  1. Tell us what you run todayYour provider, templates, flows and the systems they touch.
  2. Share your WhatsApp account with CodeswopThrough Meta's own sign-up. Your number stays where it is.
  3. We rebuild your templates and flowsTemplates don't carry across, so we recreate them and get them approved.
  4. Go liveYour display name, quality rating and messaging limits stay as they are.
Questions

What people ask us first

What does Euphony do?

We connect the WhatsApp Business API to the systems a business already runs, such as its CRM, ERP, booking, payment or helpdesk system, and then host and support what we build. Codeswop, the company behind Euphony, is a Meta Tech Provider.

How much does the WhatsApp Business API cost in South Africa?

Meta charges per delivered message. From 1 October 2026, a marketing message to a South African number costs US$0.0379, and utility, authentication and service messages cost US$0.0095 each. Every business number gets its first 1,000 service messages a month free. Meta bills you directly, and we add nothing to these rates. See Meta's pricing page.

What do you charge?

The first 30-minute consultation is free. All other prices exclude VAT. An event storming session is R5,000: a 1-hour session, then up to 2 days of analysis, ending in a full SDF. A build is R15,000 for the chat logic, templates and WhatsApp Flows, plus R7,500 per integration, at the fixed fee set in the session. Monthly plans are Starter R4,950 (1,000 conversations), Growth R9,950 (5,000) and Scale R19,950 (20,000), each with integration and API-call allowances, AI usage, hours of changes, hosting, monitoring and support. Extra conversations are R2.50 each, and payments collected in the chat cost 1%. We add nothing to Meta's message fees: Meta bills you directly. See pricing.

What is an event storming session?

A 1-hour working session with our engineers, for R5,000 ex VAT. Our engineers then spend up to 2 days dissecting it and building the plan, and you receive a full SDF, Codeswop's Strategic Decision Framework: your project goals, the capabilities to build, an integration plan covering the systems we read from and push to, a risk register, open decisions and a fixed development fee. The SDF is yours whether or not you build with us.

Do I need a BSP like Wati or Twilio?

No. You need a Meta-approved provider to connect your WhatsApp account to the platform. Codeswop is a Meta Tech Provider, so you connect through Meta's own sign-up and Meta bills you directly, with no reseller in between.

Can I keep my number if I switch to you?

Yes. You share your existing WhatsApp account with us instead of moving the number. Your display name, quality rating and messaging limits stay the same. We recreate your message templates, because those don't carry across on their own.

Can I keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number?

Not with us. We connect a number to the API only, and your team replies from our shared inbox on the web or the Android app. If you want to keep the WhatsApp Business app on your current number, we put the API on a separate number.

Do you build chatbots and AI agents?

Yes, as part of a build. We use Claude to sort incoming messages, pull out the details that matter, draft replies and transcribe voice notes, with a person taking over in the shared inbox whenever it's needed. Answering from your own documents is a custom build.

What does "Meta Tech Provider" mean?

Meta has verified Codeswop (Pty) Ltd as a business and approved it to onboard other businesses onto the WhatsApp Business Platform through Meta's own sign-up. See Meta's partners overview.
